Charging Your Vmoto Electric Motorbike or Scooter

Charging a Vmoto is simple: plug in overnight or at work with the standard charger, or use a fast or super-fast charger on compatible models. Here’s how long each model takes and how to look after your battery.

Your charging options

Standard charger

Supplied with your bike. Charge overnight at home or during the working day – most models take 3.5 to 7 hours.

Optional fast charger

Available for selected models such as the CPx, CPx Explorer and VS2 CITI – roughly halves the charging time.

Super-fast 6.6 kW

On compatible models, 0% to 80% in about 30 minutes – ideal for busy days and fleets.

Battery swap (fleets)

Exchangeable batteries and swapping cabinets let delivery riders swap a flat battery for a charged one. More below.

Charging times by model

Manufacturer figures. Times are from flat to full unless stated; real-world times vary with temperature and battery condition.

What does a charge cost?

Multiply the battery size in kWh by your electricity price. For example, the CPx’s twin batteries hold about 4.4 kWh, so at 25p per kWh a full charge costs around £1.10 – for up to 65 miles of riding (manufacturer figure). Check your own tariff; off-peak rates can be lower.
